Ballina Tourism & Hospitality Inc is the peak industry body within the Ballina Shire. We represent the interests of our members and the industry at large.

Our Vision

That the Ballina Shire is the preferred tourist and business destination with national recognition of its beautiful beaches, waterways, natural marine and hinterland attractions, high quality resorts, world class cuisine set in a peaceful and tranquil environment with friendly and hospitable locals.

Our Mission

To contribute to the full and sustainable development of the tourist industry in our region by promoting Ballina as the premium location for vacations, conferences and social events for the shared benefits of our members, visitors and the wider community.

Objectives - 2012

• • Promote Ballina to event organisers and tourism/travel agents
• • Promote the Ballina Brand and attractions beyond the Shire
• • Attract additional members to BTH
• • Provide networking opportunities for members
• • Increase visitor numbers
• • Extend duration of visitor’s stay

By

• • Advocating and influencing government authorities on issues affecting the interests and needs of  members. For example, as a member of the Ballina Shire           Council – Ballina Bypass Ready Taskforce Committee.
• • Collaborating with local community service groups, Councils, airlines and Tourism bodies in the interest of members and the community.
• • Providing access to information, tools, products and services to help members adapt to political, economic, social and technological change.
• • Hosting regular meetings and events that contribute to the development of a supportive and innovative business community.
• • Developing strategic alliances and collaborate with other LTAs/RTOs or similar organisations on a local, Regional or National level in the interest of members and     the community.
• • Showcasing the Ballina brand by promoting the regions, products and services, history, cultural heritage and unique characteristics to prospective visitors.
• • Providing information on seminars, events and workshops to support members' business development programs.
• • Contributing to the development of a sustainable and diverse local economy.
